Juggling

Today, I will learn to juggle.

My quest began with every Gen Y's modern day guru - YouTube.

According to step 1, I'm meant to start with one ball until I can do it with my eyes closed. Let's get started!

We weren't crazy

I really should be doing something more productive with my time. I've been youtubing for at least twice the amount of time I'd usually spend at the gym. That's not really all that long, but neither is it a short time.

I came across a song and got me thinking. Maybe I'm a bit too young to be feeling old. I don't mean 'Grandpa Old'. More like 'time to act matured old'.

Shooting star

Of late, I've been listening to a lot of Edwin McCain's songs. Among my favourites are "Could Not Ask For More" (of course), "Couldn't Love You More" and this - "Shooting Star". There is another catchy song about some hotel, but the title seem to have slipped my mind.

I came to realise that I'm actually bored. I like routines, but only the ones that gives me a sense of belonging. I'm familar to a habitual lifestlye, but I wouldn't say I'm accustomed to it. I long for a simple regular way of life, but I don't know if that's what I'm really looking for.

So, I've came up with a few things to, so to speak, "spice up my life". Okay, maybe just two to start things off. First, learn to play the harmonica. I actually just purchased a harmonica off ebay. I know I'm going to suck, but I'll at least try. Number two, take more picture. The catch is, using my own camera. I noticed that I do have not a copy of most of the picture taken.

I recently finished reading the book 'The Time Traveler's Wife' by Audrey Niffenegger. It was released way back in 2003, and yes, I read it only recently. I'm not exactly the bookworm kind.

I came to know about the book when I was shown the trailer of the upcoming movie 'The Time Traveler's Wife'.

I found the trailer to be really interesting, which led the to reading of the book. After having read the book, I think Rachel McAdams and Eric Bana are the perfect candidate to play the role of the main characters. Oh, and the song for the trailer was perfect (Broken by Lifehouse).

Anyway, apart from the 'heart-melting' romance, I enjoyed reading about the main characters. It's simply interesting. Not because of the time traveling abnormality, but how each characters developed over time.

I'm definitely going to watch the movie. But first, I'm going to have to find someone to accompany me. Well, watching it alone could be a little weird.

Forever tonight

They just don't compose songs like these anymore. Forever tonight by Peter Cetera and Crystal Bernard.

I've always found the melodies to duets like these really good. I'm not too sure what the right word is to describe it, but I believe say it would be something along the lines of easy listening and soothing, 'emo' but romantic, and nostalgic (for me at least).

The lyrics are really good too. Sometimes, you can even relate to them. Trying reading between the lines next time. *i wanna take forever tonight*. Sadly, my forever tonight for now is work work work. No thanks to procrastination.

Scarcity

I was first formally introduced the concept of "scarcity" in economics class, although I'm pretty sure I was familiar with the problem for way longer. Scarcity is simply the problem arising from the infinite needs (and more often than not, wants) with finite resources. Which, of course, introduces the concept of trade offs.

Anyway, I've recently been a little bit of a financial blunder, or simply said, I'm broke. Alright, that might have been an exaggeration, but I am a little tight financially. Being "broke", despite having no financial obligations or commmitments, can be rather embarassing. I guess the best explanation to my current situation is poor financial maangement.

So, my new solution is to implement ASS, or Automated Saving System. As its name suggest, it is an automated setup to save part of my income for my various needs or wants. I actually got idea whilst blog hopping the other day from Malaysia Personal Finance. ASS would now be the solution to scarcity, and assuming everything falls into place, I'd then be able to purchase all 3 items I need (futsal shoes, Thundercats season 1 and remote controlled mini cooper). Come to think of it, I'm not really surprised I'm always broke.
